Liberty Stadium Business Show 2008 Seminar Programme

Liberty Stadium Business Show 2008 Seminar Programme
Monday 23 Jun 2008 [15:10]

The Liberty Stadium Business Show is pleased to announce details of the first two seminars at the event. With four seminars in total, there is something to interest all attendees to the show and the first two seminars really capture the current business climate by focusing on environmental and sustainability topics.

More and more businesses are focusing on providing a positive contribution to society while minimising any negative effect they may have on the environment. Both the Carbon Trust and CIM will present on how this can be achieved whilst retaining a credible and successful business.

Places are limited for each seminar and are free to attend so book early to avoid disappointment.

Seminar Programme Seminars 1 & 2

Seminar 1 (10:00 10:45)

CIM Green Marketing and the Triple Bottom Line

The business of business is business, isn't it? And if budgets are diverted into altruistic projects, doesn't that leave the way open for other companies to steal a competitive advantage?

In fact, there's a way for companies to commit to their social and environmental responsibilities without impacting negatively impacting on profits, and that's to adopt a Triple Bottom Line approach. The Triple Bottom line gives companies an ethical backbone, whilst still maintaining competitive advantage.

Presented by Mark Stuart, Head of Research at The Chartered Institute of Marketing, he is the key writer of The Institute's biannual Shape the Agenda papers, including The Good, the Bad and the Indifferent on how Triple Bottom Line principles can help companies deliver sustainable business practices, and Brave New World on how technology gives marketers the opportunity to reinvent personal relationships with customers.

Mark contributes to the annual Marketing Trends Survey that The Institute develops in co-ordination with Ipsos MORI, and much of his work incorporates analysis and interpretations of the Croner Rewards Surveys that The Institute co-develops. He regularly chairs panels and debates and speaks regularly on the themes of innovation, sustainability, brands and communications.

Seminar 2 (10:00 10:45)
