Around 30,000 fans came from far and wide to watch the American singing sensation perform her Worldwide Funhouse Carnival Tour.

Swansea was one of only six cities across the UK to host the star.

Some loyal fans had even queued overnight to make sure they had the best seats in the house.

Pink lover Leon Stephens, 36, of Cecil Street, Manselton, camped out for 34 hours to be the first person to get into the stadium.

He said: "Why did I queue for 34 hours? Because she is Pink. She is fantastic. I love her her music and attitude and everything about her.

The Liberty Stadium was a sea of pink with fans sporting pink hairstyles, clothes, sunglasses and flower garlands.

The popstar was supported by singer VV Brown, Portland band Hockey, and singer and producer Butch Walker, the man behind Pink's album Funhouse. The singer-songwriter wowed audiences with classics such as Leave me Alone, Pill and So What, which ended the show.

Show promoter Barrie Marshall said Swansea's Liberty Stadium was a fantastic venue and he said he was glad to be have the opportunity to bring Pink to South West Wales.

He said: "When I promoted Elton John here the stadium was fantastic.

"The atmosphere is always great and it is such a nice stadium. We do not get the chance to get into Wales enough. I am so happy to bring Pink here. It's such an incredible show and she is such an amazing lady. She is a fantastic person, singer, writer, athlete and entertainer and she has grown over the years."

Andrew Davies, general manager at the Liberty, said it was a major coup to bring an artist of Pink's stature to Swansea.

"It has been a fantastic evening, and builds on the Liberty Stadium's growing reputation as one of the best new music venues in the UK," he said.

"We're on the map and we are confident, with another success like tonight under our belt, we will continue to attract top name."
